Al and I met with Christie from Red Bull on Friday night and she gave us our welcome letter, pilot's handbook, a case of Red Bull, 4 souvenir suede Flugtag tool belts and... a mini DV cam to film our exploits! We'll be getting our own page on the Red Bull site shortly, so you'll be able to check those out there! Woo hoo!
On Saturday, Al and I headed up to the Midlands to get some well-needed engineering input from our project advisory engineer a.k.a Al's dad! So now, our badger is looking a lot more aerodynamic and Al is hoping to have the finished scale drawings good to go by the end of this week!
On Sunday, Team BBBB met up in a field in Worcestershire to take some pictures with our very own red bull, persuade Pez's mum to let us build the badger in her stable and generally get our act together and get sorted!
Now the job's have been assigned and plans are rolling on forthwith. Pez is going to start trying to round up sponsors, I've been knee-deep in writing press releases and Sadler and Al are getting everything sorted for the build. All in all, progress is being made. More photos are up on the Facebook Group too!
Anyway, more news soon!
